Memorial Day Parade Sunday, 05/28/2023 and Monday, 05/29/2023

The Deep River Memorial Day Parade information is as follows:

Sunday, May 28th parade in Winthrop. Parade begins at 1:00pm at the Winthrop Baptist Church. There will be a small service inside the church.  Once the service concludes, the parade will march downhill on Route 80 to the Winthrop Cemetery for another ceremony. The parade will then march back to the Winthrop Baptist Church.

Monday, May 29th parade in Deep River. Parade begins at 9:00am at Devitt Field. Parade will march down Main Street, turn right at the intersection of West Elm and Main Street onto River Street, turn right onto High Street and left into Fountain Hill Cemetery for a short ceremony by the flag pole. Once completed, the parade will continue down High Street, turn right onto Essex Street and left into the Veterans Green for a Memorial Day ceremony.

PLEASE NOTE, Once the parade activities conclude, please join us at The Eagle to recognize the placement of the Eagle in 1923 and the 100 year old time capsule that resided inside.
