Park Usage Fees & Applications

Park Use Fees:

There are no park entrance fees charged to town residents for daily use, however all resident vehicles entering a town park must display a Park Sticker in the lower left corner of the windshield. If any resident would like to reserve a portion of a park for an event or private party or apply for reserved field use, a park use application must be filed and fees might be assessed depending on the nature of the use requested.

Parking Passes (stickers)

Parking Passes are required for all persons who would like to utilize any of our town parks. Residents can obtain a parking sticker, free of charge, from the Town Clerk's office during regular business hours.

Town Landing: Daily and seasonal parking passes are sold to non-residents on a limited basis for the Town Landing by the gate guard on duty or at the Town Clerk's Office. There is an extra charge for vehicles with trailers. Overnight parking is not allowed unless approved by the Town Clerk's Office and an overnight parking pass has been purchased. The overnight parking pass must be displayed on the vehicles' windshield. For non-residents, there is a boat launch fee of $30.00. This fee does not include a parking space unless one is available.  The gate guard will make that determination. Season passes are $300.00 and do allow parking in the lot if available.

Plattwood Park: Daily parking passes for non-residents are available for purchase Monday-Thursday from the gate guard on duty or from the Town's Clerk's office. Season passes can also be purchased. Daily passes are $20.00 and season passes are $200.00.

Residents may enter the park free of charge but their vehicle must display a Park permit sticker in the lower left corner of the windshield. Stickers are only available from the Town Clerk's Office when a valid car registration is presented for each parking pass requested.  Each pass will be inscribed with the vehicle's license plate number. Parking passes are non-transferable. Each car must have its own sticker or pass to enter the park unless accompanied by a Deep River resident. Deep River residents may bring up to three guest vehicles into the park if they accompany them at the gate.

Non-residents wishing to you the fitness trail or the skate park must purchase a parking pass if entering the park during peak hours when a gate guard is on duty. No passes are sold Friday through Sunday.

***All Deep River Residents, as well as, out of town residents, must file applications for park use***

Applications may be submitted up to 6 months in advance. Applications submitted earlier will not be considered prior to this time frame. The only exception to this, are applications involving weddings.

Applications are considered on a first come-first served basis. Only applications that are complete (all paperwork attached) will be considered.

  • Plattwood Park: $175.00

At a minimum, everyone (residents and non-residents) filing a park use application must supply a refundable security deposit and a Certificate of Insurance.

Please note that park use applications, excluding the landing, once approved, typically allow for up to 10 out of town vehicles to park free within the park. Additional vehicles, if allowed, will be charged a fee. For town landing applications, due to parking constraints, parking is only approved for 2 vehicles.

All completed applications are reviewed by the Commission on a case-by-case basis. All supporting documentation must be received before the application is considered complete.

The town reserves the right to make the determination to cancel an event based on local, state and federal guidelines due to a health or environmental emergency.
