Emergency Services - Ambulance
Deep River Ambulance Association, located in Deep River, Connecticut, is a volunteer Emergency Medical Service organization. Founded in 1957, the association is headed by the DRAA Board of Directors, and operated by a crew of approximately 30 First Responders, EMTs, EMRs and Drivers, all volunteers from Deep River and its surrounding towns.
Our immediate transport locations are Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, Connecticut, and the Middlesex Medical Center - Shoreline in Westbrook, Connecticut.
DRAA operates on low band frequency 46.08, shared by the Deep River Fire Department.
We are always looking for committed volunteers to serve on either the crew or the Board of Directors. Crew members may receive certified state training, paid for by the Association, and are expected to be on call for at least one 12-hour shift per week. Members may be residents of, or work in, Deep River or its neighboring towns.

When:
Board meetings are the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30. Crew meetings are the first Thursday of every month. Monthly training is at 6:30 followed by the meeting at 7:00.
