Hunting & Fishing Licenses

Hunting and Fishing Licenses are available in the Town Clerk's office.

Licenses are good for the calendar year ending December 31. Anyone 16 years of age or older are required to be licensed in their respective sport. Residents aged 65 or older qualify for a free license.
 

Trout fishing season in Connecticut begins the second Saturday in April. Effective July 2, 2009, a Marine Waters Fishing License is required for saltwater fishing.
 

Hunting and trapping licenses are issued based on proof that a resident license in the respective sport has been held within the last 5 years or the person has a certificate indicating successful completion of a Connecticut Conservation Education/Firearms course.
