CT DOT Bridge Replacement Project – Route 80 – Deep River – Detour information

As per the DOT project engineer:

As a main artery into and out of Deep River this project will have a significant traffic impact for Deep River.  State of Connecticut detour information follows:

"When traveling southbound on Route 80, people will need to enter Route 9 South at the on ramp and get off at Exit 3 for CT-154. Right turn on to 154 and continue until the 154/602 junction. Right turn on to 602 and stay on 602 until it meets up with Route 80 at the 4-way stop in front of John Winthrop Middle School. Continue straight to stay on Route 80 going west. This is the end of the detour.”

“When traveling east on Route 80 from Deep River/Killingworth to Deep River Center, at the 4-way stop in front of John Winthrop Middle School stay straight and continue on 602 until the 154/602 junction. Take a left and continue until the next on-ramp for Route 9 North. Continue on Route 9 North until Exit 5. Take a left to get to anything in-between Route 9 and the bridge and take a right to continue up Route 80 to Deep River Center.”
