Deep River Holiday Stroll and Light Parade, Saturday, December 2, 2023

There is still time to join the Light Parade!

Date: Saturday, December 2, 2023

Time: 4:30 pm.

Where: Downtown Deep River

**Be creative and design a float with a theme or make one that shows off your business – a chance for all to see what you do.  Or just make a float that is bright, colorful and fun! **

Rules:

•              All Floats and vehicles must pre-register.  Register here Holiday Light Parade

•              DEADLINE TO ENTER DECEMBER 2, 2023 @ 12:00 pm

•              You may enter more than one float.

•              All floats and vehicles must be insured. A copy of the insurance card must be submitted prior to the parade.

•              Floats are allowed to be equipped with music.

•              Float height limited to 12 feet. Very important!!!!

•              There will be a reviewing stand at Town Hall.

•              Judges will announce winners for bragging rights

•              6 categories- Merchant/Business, Family/Neighborhood, School Group, Local Organization, Youth Group, Military.

•              Registration Deadline: December 2, 2023 by noon.

•              This is a family friendly event, so please design and name your float with that in mind.  Any float deemed unacceptable will not be allowed to participate.

All vehicles must report to the staging area (Silgan Plastic's parking lot) at 3:30 pm to finish set up and to be lined up by parade marshal. If no set up is required, arriving closer to 4:00 pm. is fine.

The parade will start on Bridge Street  (Silgan Plastics) and conclude at Devitt Field*.

*In order to keep the parade moving along, vehicles will be asked to proceed down Southworth, take a right on Fairview Ave. and follow to the end, which will put you back on Main Street.

For vehicles and floats that need to breakdown for safe travel, they will be allowed to pull into the Devitt Field parking lot to make the adjustments. However, we ask that you do not pull out and head back into the parade route but rather proceed down Southworth Street and right on Fairview back to Main.
