November 7, 2023 Election

The Electors of the Town of Deep River are hereby warned to meet at their respective polling place in said Town on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, for the following purposes:

To cast their votes for First Selectman (1); Selectman (1); Town Clerk (1); Town Treasurer (1); Tax Collector (1); Board of Finance, Full Term (2); Board of Finance, To Fill Vacancy for Two Years (2); Board of Education, Full Term (3); Board of Education, To Fill Vacancy for Two Years (1); Board of Assessment Appeals, Full Term (1); Library Trustees, Full Term (3); Library Trustees, To Fill Vacancy for Two Years (2); Ethics Commission Regular, Full Term (3); Ethics Commission Alternate, Full Term (1); Agent of School Deposit Fund, Full Term (1); Regional Board of Education, Full Term (1).

To cast their votes on the following question:

“Shall Regional School District No. 4, comprised of the Towns of Chester, Deep River and Essex, appropriate $622,947 for the cost of the John Winthrop Middle School Security Project and authorize the issuance of bonds, notes or temporary notes in an amount not to exceed $622,947 to finance the appropriation?          YES                  NO”

Voters approving the resolution shall vote “Yes” and those opposing the resolution shall vote “No”.

Notice is hereby given that the location of the polling place is as follows:

Absentee ballots will be counted at the following central location:  Deep River Library Community Meeting Room, 150 Main Street, Deep River, CT  06417.

EDR (Election Day Registration) and EDR ballots:  Deep River Public Library, 150 Main Street, Deep River, CT  06417, 6:00am until 8:00pm.

      Voting tabulators will be used.  The polls will be opened at six o’clock in the morning (6 a.m.) and will

      remain open until eight o’clock in the evening (8 p.m.).
