Veterans Day Wreath Laying Ceremony 11/11 @11am and Veterans Day Parade 11/13 @10:00am

Veterans Day

While it is 103 years since the first Armistice Day, 2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the installation of the tomb of the unknown soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.  Since November 11, 1921, the Tomb has provided a final resting place for one of America’s unidentified World War I service members, with Unknowns from later wars being added in 1958 and 1984.

Deep River Veterans will be holding a small wreath laying ceremony at 11am on Thursday, November 11 on the Veterans Green.  Weather permitting, a Veterans Day Parade is scheduled on Saturday, November 13 stepping off from Devitt Field at 10:00am and culminating with ceremonies at the Veteran's Green Memorial.  Please come out and help celebrate our veterans.
