Celebrate Star Wars Day 2020!
That’s right, we are getting ever closer to Star Wars Day!
Thanks to a play on the phrase “May The Force Be With You,” May the 4th, has become known as Star Wars Day. Each year, Star Wars fans around the world celebrate!
So to help Deep River celebrate we are offering a Star Wars Lego building contest. No Legos? No problem! Using what ever materials you have on hand, build a 3D model of your favorite Star Wars character or Star Wars movie scene.
Build your masterpiece and send a picture to the P & R office.
Judges will choose four youth (<12 yrs.) winners from the entries received as well as 3 teen/adult (>12 yrs.) winners. Prizes will be small Legos sets for youth entries. One teen winner will receive a Lego set and the remaining two teen/adult winners will receive gift certificate to local restaurants.
Value of prizes ranges from $10.00 -$20.00.
After building your creation, please send a photo of it to the P & R email (parkandrec@deepriverct.us) where it will be entered for a chance to win a prize.
Photos of the winners' creations will be posted on the town's web site.
